Yogi’s, your new health-guardian is intended for pure water only. It does not take kindly to acidic or flavoured drinks, nor dishwashers or dishwashing soaps that contain bleaching agents or alcohol; it’s rosy skin literally turns green with envy! The harsh chemicals are corrosive and will shorten the life span of your bottle and will tarnish its metallic body. Always pour the pure water out and then blend it into your smoothie or infusion to kickstart an amazing day! If your body is itching for a hot drink, best to pour the supercharged water out and then heat it up. On the other hand, for Antarctic-cool water, place your bottle in the fridge to chill to summer bliss perfection.
DESIGNED TO AGE. MATURES TO PERFECTION.
An exciting quality of your bottle is that it will develop a natural patina residue and darken to a new hue. This is a sign that it is actually made of pure copper. Most hand washing detergents contain chemicals that will tarnish your bottle with this patina, and with use, especially by the seaside, it will continue to grow into itself through these birthmarks. The originality and inquest of each bottle as it wears has its own special story to tell, and so, when its age does start to show, it means you have given life to an object garnered by the ancients.
To restore shine, wash with a homemade vinegar-salt solution, or easier still, rub the bottle with a half lemon sprinkled in salt. Rinse well with water and leave to air dry naturally.

Should particular ailments such as pregnancy, adrenal fatigue, immune disorders, zinc de-pletion or stress, prevent you in drinking from the copper?
Pregnancy does not prevent women from using their copperware as normal. However, if you wanted to be extra wary, continue using you bottle as normal, but don’t let the water sit overnight before drinking. Anything shorter than (8-10 hours) that time frame isn’t known to supercharge the water, but the natural anti-microbial properties of copper are still in effect.
Storing water in pure copper only adds the minutest trace of copper well below the RDA, and the water is only supercharged after it has been stored in the bottle for at least 8-10 hours (which is why they recommend sipping the water in the morning). In these minutest trace amounts it is bene-ficial for the body that has been detailed above, and is not known to be large enough to be harmful.
In as such, the introduction of this additional copper in minute trace amounts to our system, should not hamper future zinc absorption, nor induce other negative repercussions. The depletion of Zinc in our bodies can be attributable to a whole host of reasons including lifestyle choices, immune dis-orders and most prominently, stress! However, we are often prescribed external sources as treat-ment, such as increasing or decreasing the consumption of particular foods, liquids and other sub-stances; telling someone to stress less is equally as ineffective until they discover what works best for them, thank god for Yoga!
Is the water altered in taste?
No, the taste of the water is not altered if the water is drunk regularly. If the water is left sitting in there for a long time, the taste may alter slightly.
