Join us for a unique and educational workshop designed for children to learn the art of repurposing jewellery. Let your children’s creativity flourish as they get the chance to design and create their unique pieces of jewellery, including necklaces, bracelets, and even decorative accessories for their bags or water bottles.
This workshop not only fosters creativity and craftsmanship but also imparts valuable lessons about sustainability and environmental responsibility. By turning old or broken jewellery and other materials such as vintage buttons, leather, strings and beads into new, beautiful pieces, children will understand the importance of recycling and reusing materials in a fun and engaging way.
All materials and tools will be provided in addition to any materials that our students wish to bring. The class will be structured to accommodate varying skill levels and interests. At the end of the workshop, you will take home your stunning piece to reflect your unique style and creativity.
We also encourage children to think about their little creations from a design perspective considering colour, shapes and patterns. We work with them to assess their unique skills and build their capabilities such as counting, measurement, estimation, visual memory, repetition and hand- eye coordination. All while having fun creating something they will enjoy wearing or using.
